Great news! As of January 2026, the full Coast Track is open again, including the newly upgraded Garie Headland section. Join us for this classic around 28km through-hike from Otford to Bundeena. This is a Grade 5 (Hard) hike involving steep ascents, sand walking, and long distances. We aim to complete it in about 7-8 hours at a steady pace; high fitness and endurance are essential.

Before you RSVP, please read the details below:

  • Start: 9:30 AM at Otford Station - aligned with the train arrival at Otford - please check TripView/maps. We'll meet at the platform
  • Difficulty: Hard due to the long distance, many elevations and stairs, steady pace, and bushwalking tracks.
  • Route: Starting from Otford, we hike north past the Palm Jungle to Burning Palms. We will cross the newly reopened section at Garie Beach, continue past Curracurrang and Wattamolla, and trek the stunning coastal cliffs past Marley Beach. We finish at Bundeena to catch the ferry across to Cronulla.
  • Gratuity: A $5 contribution is appreciated to help cover our Meetup subscription and group running costs. Carry Cash or ask for PayID.
