Blue Mountains Waterfall Adventure ~Lawson-Hazelbrook ~14 or 20 km

Join for the scenic 14-km hike through over a dozen waterfalls and a few swimming holes (carry swimmers if you like) in the Blue Mountains. There's an exit after 14km at Hazelbrook station, but we may explore another 6 km of 5 more waterfalls if the weather is supportive. Its rugged terrain with multiple elevations, and Good fitness and bushwalking experience are important given the distance and pace of 4 km/h with short breaks!
Key Details:
- Meeting Point: Subway Sandwitch - outside Lawson Station at 09:15 AM (take BMT from Central at 7:24 AM).
- Route: We'll take a quick stopover at the village centre if you wish to buy food (no food or water refill along the trail!) or use toilets, and then start the famous waterfall circuit covering the Five Waterfall Walk, and further visit Adelina Falls, Junction Falls, Terrace Falls, Victor Falls, Federal Falls, and Adam's Lookout. Another 6km circuit includes Mabel Falls, Edith Falls and Hazel Falls through transit of Venus track.
- Difficulty: Moderate to Hard - Be prepared for challenging terrain and a good pace.
- What to Bring: Wear hiking shoes, bring at least 2 litres of water - or refill at start, hydrates/electrolytes, enough snacks/lunch for the day (can buy at the start at Lawson), sunscreen, hat, and weather-appropriate clothing (carrying extra socks/clothes recommended, especially if you wish to take a dip), bug-repellent and possibly a personal first aid kit.
- Gratuity: A $5 contribution is appreciated to help cover our Meetup subscription and group running costs. Carry Cash or ask for PayID.
