This Sunday we're heading out for a scenic 16-kilometre exploration of the North Shore's stunning harbour and bushland. This moderately paced walk offers incredible scenery, historical sites, tunnels and of course - the beautiful North Shore Harbour! Good fitness is recommended as we will maintain a steady pace through a variety of urban and bush terrains, while there are many inclines and stairs! Though, you can exit as needed.

Before you RSVP, be sure to read the following:

  • Difficulty and terrain: Easy to Moderate (for regular hikers). Expect a diverse mix of bush tracks, hills, stairs, paved streets, and parklands.
  • Start at 9:30 AM sharp near McDonald's (just outside the St Leonards Station platforms exit). Please arrive a few minutes early. Finish: Milsons Point Station, exit options - plenty!
  • Route: We will start with a bushwalk past RNS to the Gore Hill Memorial Cemetery, following Gore Creek down to Greenwich. We'll stop at the scenic Manns Point and Holloway Reserve for breathtaking harbour views before taking a midway break at Berry Island. Our journey then continues to the historic Coal Loader (where we'll walk through the tunnel beneath it), traversing the beautiful foreshores of Waverton, Blues Point, and Lavender Bay, before finishing up at Milsons Point Station.
