NEW: Leisurely Hike at Sky Meadows State Park
Details
We will meet at the Visitor Center parking lot.
NEW: You require snow traction for your boots, for example, microspikes, yaktraxs, or crampons. The trails are icy. Hike sticks/poles are highly recommended.
In some sections, the snow is icy, and in other sections, you will crunch through. Snow hiking can be tiring, so we will take our time and rest at each hiking post.
NEW HIKE ROUTE: Because of snow, we'll switch to a 3.5-mile route with 594' elevation gain, plus an optional 1.8 miles with 203' elevation gain. The first part of the hike includes Boston Mills, North Ridge, Gap Run, Piedmont Overlook, Snowden, and Boston Mill trails. If you want to continue, we will hike the James Ball Trail to the Children's Discovery Area and return on the Corp Morgan Trail.
