☕ Boston Tea Party Young Professionals Coffee Meetup | Birmingham

Looking to meet new people in Birmingham in a relaxed, no-pressure way? This one’s for you.
Join us for the Boston Tea Party Young Professionals Coffee Meetup, usually held every fourth Sunday (or thereabouts) at Boston Tea Party.

This is a friendly, informal meetup where you can:

• Socialise and have proper conversations
• Meet new people in the city
• Network naturally without forced agendas
• Simply enjoy good coffee with good company

There’s no structure, no presentations, no awkward icebreakers. Just turn up, grab a drink, and chat at your own pace. Some people come to make friends, some to network professionally, some just to get out of the house and talk to new faces. All of that is welcome.

You can come:

• On your own
• With friends
• As part of a group

If you’re new to Birmingham or new to meetups, you’ll fit right in. It’s a genuinely welcoming crowd, and plenty of people attend solo.
If the vibe is right, we often head out for food afterwards for anyone who fancies continuing the conversation, totally optional.
Come as you are. No expectations. No pressure. Just coffee, conversation, and good people.

Join us at this location, which will serve as our starting point before we may move on to explore the night together. This is an unhosted but relaxed and welcoming group event, perfect for meeting new people and enjoying a casual Friday night out. Expect great conversations, shared laughs, and possibly some delicious food along the way. Whether you stay for a little while or the whole night, it’s all about having fun and connecting with others.

Play Chess Round-Robin (Sociably)

• Chess - This is the master game of logic and strategy for two players. We normally play monthly, so don't forget to RSVP to earlier and later event iterations too!

• Venue - The Good Intent, 32-33 Great Western Arcade, off Colmore Row, Birmingham B2 5HU. Probably upstairs.

• Time - 6:30, we start right away.

• Suitability - This event is for existing players of all standards, and is of a sociable nature, but is not for those who have never played previously sorry, as we are not able to offer tuition in the time available.

• Equipment - We will bring a few chess sets/boards and clocks, though in case of high numbers, please let us know if you could bring more if necessary

Format:
There will be a friendly series of game rounds throughout the evening, commencing approximately half-hourly. Each player will have a time limit of 15 minutes per game. Everyone will have fun and will get to play other players throughout the evening.

Attendance:
As with all events, please RSVP courteously, which means that no-shows and withdrawals in the last 24 hours are forbidden. Thank you for your understanding. Minimum attendance=6

Members of both GO:HeartofEngland and Board&CardGameEnthusiasts are invited to this event, so we'll aim to reflect RSVPs on both as far as possible. Numbers will hopefully be viable providing we avoid late drop outs, so please ink into your diaries thanks!
