Kaas 2 days trip with stay
Location not specified yetAn exclusive tour of the Kaas Plateau, a valley of flowers located on a high hill plateau near Satara, Maharashtra. Known for its seasonal blooms at the end of the monsoon, Kaas is recognized as one of the richest biodiversity hotspots in the Western Ghats and is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
This trip is suitable for all ages and includes a guided walk on the Kaas Plateau. In addition to Kaas, participants will explore other notable attractions in and around Satara.
Attractions:
Kaas plateau and Kumudini lake - The beautiful valley situated at an altitude of more than 1000m above MSL has a bio-diverse range of species of flowers; Kaas is also listed in UNESCO World Heritage sites. There will be a guided tour by the field expert about different species of flowers. Kumudini Lake, is a small lake inside Kaas flower plateau which is full of beautiful kumudini flowers.Ekiv Waterfall & Kaas Lake: Ekiv waterfall is close the Kaas Plateau with hardly few steps away from the road and also Kaas Lake is a beautiful scenic small lake.
Shivsagar lake: A picturesque location is one of the largest backwaters of the Koyana Dam in Satara.
Sajjangad - The stunning Sajjangad Fort is situated amid the rugged landscape of the Western Ghats, located roughly 16 kilometres from Satara. It is one of West India's protected monuments and is primarily recognized as a pilgrimage site. The fort was used as a residential and defensive structure until it was turned into a monument.
Baramotichi Vihir: It also known as the 'Twelve Pillar Stepwell', is a magnificent example of ancient Indian architecture. It is a circular stepwell with twelve pillars that support the structure. The stepwell is around 30 meters deep, and its walls are adorned with intricate carvings and sculptures. The stepwell also has an underground chamber, which was used for various purposes in ancient times.
