Come hear from three different local banks about the state of banking right now.
S&T Bank, Univest, Diamond Credit Union
Three very different approaches and sizes of banks which will give us an awesome perspective from different people.

I love doing panels like this b/c they are super informative and casual in nature.... so it's less cookie cutter boring and more interesting about what is actually happening on the lending side. Some things we will discuss:

  1. Interest rates -- where are they now for basic products and where do the banks see them heading later this year?
  2. What has changed since Covid in terms of approvals. I'm hearing banks are pulling back on approvals a little in 2025, are you seeing that?
  3. I recently had a friend who a few days before closing had the loan fall through. How does someone avoid that happening?
  4. When you compare local banks and credit unions with national banks, what is the difference on the loan side?
  5. We always hear that relationships matter --- is that actually true? Could you maybe give an example of how that plays out in real life?
  6. If someone is a new investor, what do you suggest they do to make getting a loan easy? If someone is scaling up as an investor -- what would you suggest for them? Maybe it's the same thing!
  7. Do you all handle short term loans or are all your products long-term / stabilized in nature?
  8. Is there an impact if an investor moves their personal checking deposits to your bank? Or is that a thing of the past?
  9. Are you seeing any impact from AI in the loan approval process? Maybe starting to move a little faster and be less human involved?
  10. If you could give one piece of guidance to investors, what would it be?

Of course we will also open it up to the crowd for Q&A. It's a great time to hear from and meet local banks!
