Mordialloc to Aspendale – Beach Walk

Hi Sunday Walkers. Let's start the year off with a morning beach walk at the popular Mordialloc/Aspendale beach in Melbourne's Bayside.

We’ll start at the boat yard on Mordialloc Creek and head south along the beach to Aspendale, then return.

It’s a wide sandy beach alongside the lapping waves of the bay. Walking on sand will work-out your calf muscles and the fresh sea air will feel wonderful on a Sunday morning. It’s the perfect start to your day!

Start: Park in Parana St, Aspendale, off Nepean Hwy, next to Doyles Bridge Hotel. There’s 2 hour no-fee parking. or park in the hotel carpark. Walk down the pathway to the beach.

The Walk: The walk is along the beach sands, south, as far as Aspendale Life Savings Club, then return back to the carpark.

Total distance: 4.5 km.

Time: Allow 1.5 hours for the walk, then coffee at the Bridge Hotel.

Difficulty: Easy; but walking on sand will stretch those unused leg muscles!

Toilets: At Aspendale Life Saving Club, halfway.

Coffee: The Bridge Hotel, Mordialloc

Cost: Free!
