This is 6.2 miles hike out and back from trailhead, elevation gain 1020 feet.
Peter Grubb Hut built in 1939 by family and friends as a memorial to Peter Grubb.

Based on last couple snowshoe hikes I found that spikes would work just fine in present snow condition. We will stay on trail which should have hard snow. Maybe some soft snow in forest... so bring Gaiters to protect your shoes from getting snow in.

Participants should be in excellent physical condition.
Must have spikes & ski poles, water, and a snack.
Because of changeable weather.. please dress appropriately and in layers.
No guests for this hike.
This snowshoe hike is NOT for beginners.
Please assess your level of fitness before you RSVP.
Pls be resposable for your reservation, adjust it if plans changed
Every mile of snowshoe is equal to two miles of hike.
If you have a heart or breathing problems pls do NOT reserve.

We will meet and carpool 9-00 am from IHOP located 10150 N McCarran Blvd, Pls arrive prior departing time.
If you don't want to carpool we will see you at parking lot at Donner Summit California Snopark at 10-00 am. I-80 - Exit 176 to Boreal Ski Area. Let me know.
