Details
This scenic intermediate snowshoe trip entails a 3.5 mile approach to the Angora Lakes which sit in a beautiful cirque under Echo & Angora Peaks.
The elevation gain is apprx. 825' and follows the summer road along Angora Ridge past the old fire look-out with outstanding views of Mt. Tallac and Fallen Leaf Lake en-route. The route does not cross avalanche terrain. Upon arrival at the upper lake, we'll stop for lunch before returning. Snow-shoes or ski's and appropriate winter clothing and gear. Extra items are available for the asking. Additionally, Nevada Adventure Rentals in Reno www.nevadaadventurerentals.com has a complete line of winter gear for rent, snowshoes, poles, packs, etc.
