Retirement Planning Social Club – Coffee & Conversation
Overview
Get thoughtful, relaxed coffee chat on retirement and finances in a small, no-pressure group, ideal for curious minds exploring purpose, income, and freedom.
Details
Most people don’t get many chances to talk openly about retirement, money, and what they actually want life to look like. This meetup is a chance to do exactly that.
Join a small group for coffee, conversation, and connection. You’ll hear how other people are thinking about retirement, investing, taxes, and lifestyle decisions, and you’ll walk away with new ideas, perspectives, and maybe even a few next steps for yourself.
Whether you’re already retired or planning ahead, you’re welcome. There’s no pressure and no agenda. We let the discussion flow naturally, and the goal is simple: good conversation with good people about a part of life that really matters.
Learn from others, share your own perspective, and enjoy a space where both the financial and human sides of retirement can be talked about openly.

Why This Group Was Started
Not long ago, I took a mini-retirement with my wife and kids, and we traveled for over a year exploring the U.S. and Eastern Canada. That completely changed how I think about time, flexibility, and what retirement actually means in real life. When we returned to Colorado for our kids to start their schooling, I opened my flat-fee fiduciary firm and found myself wanting a place where people could talk about these topics without pressure, sales, or awkwardness.
I work just upstairs from Hello Coffee, and stepping out to meet people face-to-face has become one of my favorite parts of the week. It’s a nice break from my office, and it’s genuinely enjoyable to hear how others think about retirement, investing, taxes, purpose, and the next chapter of life.
What We Talk About
- Identity, purpose, time, health, and how people want to live this phase of life
- Long-term investing and portfolio thinking
- Practical tax decisions
- Retirement income and withdrawal concepts
- Financial independence and work optionality
While my firm's flat-fee approach is designed primarily for those with higher assets, I welcome all experience levels to this coffee meetup to learn and share.
No personal financial disclosures needed.
No soliciting of any kind. Just good conversation with good people.
