Curious about pickleball but haven’t tried it yet? Here’s your chance - we will have extra paddles for those who don’t have one. Or enjoy it and want to play outdoors on some beautiful courts? They are located at the site of the old Volleydome south of U of C in the Foothills Athletic Park.

Cost is $4, which allows us to book courts ahead of time and gives us 2 hours to play (9 am to 11 am). Parking beside the courts is free. Please bring extra paddles if you have them.

Payment can be made in cash at the event.

Rocky Mountain Atheists (RMA) is a non-profit community group. Our hosts and organizers are not certified coaches, trainers, or professionals. We are volunteers and participants organizing events for mutual interest and enjoyment.
By attending any events arranged or hosted by RMA, I acknowledge that I am participating voluntarily and entirely at my own risk. I understand that certain activities may involve risks, including but not limited to physical injury, property damage, or other unforeseen consequences. I fully assume all such risks and accept responsibility for my own safety during participation, including travel to and from any RMA hosted event.
I further acknowledge that by signing up for an RMA event and participating, I am freely assuming all associated risks and hereby release, waive, and discharge the event organizers, Rocky Mountain Atheists, fellow participants, and all facility owners or lessors of the premises used for these events, from any and all claims or liabilities arising out of or connected to my participation.
This event is intended for adults only, all participants must be 18 years of age or older. A valid ID may be required for verification. Participants are discouraged from bringing spectators. Event spaces such as indoor venues or courts may involve fast-moving people, objects, or equipment. If a participant chooses to bring a minor or a guest, they do so at their own risk and assume full responsibility for any injuries, damages, or incidents involving those individuals.

• Ping Pong, some time for beginners, some for intermediate, some for experienced.
• Card and board games are supplied - and bring your favorite game.

• crokinole is a dexterity board game, possibly of Canadian origin. Players take turns shooting discs across the circular playing surface, trying to land their discs in the higher-scoring regions of the board, while also attempting to knock opposing discs off the board.

Let's try something new - please bring a *favourite* snack/dish to share with others - no need to bring chips, we haven't eaten all the bags of chips people have brought so far, so please bring something else. Suggestions could be - fruit plate, vegetable plate, cheese plate, appetizers, finger food (I have a microwave and oven and stove), pizza or bring something you are famous for making!

Transportation:
Some people need a ride, some have expressed willingness to provide a ride. Please leave a comment if you want to add your name to either of those two lists and in which neighborhood you live. We often have people coming from Tuscany, Varsity, Arbor Lake, Marlborough Park, Kensington, Hawkwood, Lincoln Park, Dalhousie, Mission and more. Post a message in the group chat here or communicate amongst yourselves when you are here.

This event is posted on a few meetups So there are more people than listed here. It doesn’t matter which one you sign up on. Sometimes the meetup site has had problems with allowing people to sign up - If you have any problems please leave a comment here so I can address it, or send me a private message.

With Lazy Day’s full-service rentals, your raft will be inflated and ready for you to hit the river. Your 15 kilometre float adventure (which takes 2 to 4 hours, depending on river flow) starts at the West Baker Park Boat Ramp and ends near Prince’s Island Park at the main Lazy Day Shop, where we will greet you on the riverbank and take all the gear so that you can be quickly on your way.

I'm hoping we can coordinate vehicles to have some of us go to the start point and some to the end point and transport back. Please add a comment if you are able to do this.

Alcohol and marijuana are not allowed, but please bring a lunch, some snacks and non-alcoholic beverages to enjoy. They respectfully request that foods that leave stains such as blueberries, grape juice, turmeric-based curries, etc., be left at home. It is very difficult to get the rafts sparkling clean again after these types of foods are enjoyed. They also sell snacks and drinks at both locations in case you forget to grab everything that you need!

Kids are welcome with their parents.
