The Art of Female Composers with the Ariel Concert Series
Details
Celebrate International Women's Day, celebrated every year on March 8th, with this very special performance by the Ariel Concert Series! The Ariel Series is presenting their program, The Art of Female Composers.
This year's theme for International Women's Day is "Give to Gain", as in What will you Give to Gain Gender Equality? What better what to support this than giving our time and attention to the works of female composers in this lovely church.
Historically, many female composers have been underrepresented in orchestral performances and it is the work of musical groups like the Ariel Concert Series that helps those voices be heard and discovered by new audiences, especially in this FREE concert!
So come enjoy this afternoon of quality music, and reflect on the extraordinary women who have impacted your life - whether they be your moms, daughters, family, friends, or even composers! The color for this day is purple, so feel free to wear your purple that day as well!
Please always keep your RSVP updated, and you can edit it that day if needed.
