Moderate Geal Chàrn near Neathy Bridge
Details
SUMMARY
Geal Charn 821m
12k 524m ascent 3.5 hours.
We will walk in easy pace and ascent to follow standard WH route to the summit, and retrace step back to the start point, instead of the circular walk described in WH.
It is a little visited Corbett in the sprawling moorlands to the northeast of the main mass of the Cairngorms, usually approached via a short round from Dorback Lodge. Perhaps the most interesting feature of the hill is the great ravine carved by the Water of Ailnack to the east, but it is difficult to view this as part of the approach. It is an undistinguished and rounded hill with heathery slope.

TERRAIN
