What we’re about
Does an afternoon sailing on the Hudson River sound good to you? We’re a nonprofit, all-volunteer organization offering group sailing and social activities. Our mission is to introduce people to sailing, and we have been teaching safe sailing for over 40 years — for first-timers and experienced sailors alike.
Come meet people who sail or want to learn! We have a fleet of boats in Sleepy Hollow and Ossining sailing May through October.
Join our meetup group to see upcoming activities! Learn more and sign up for classes at sailhudson.org.
Upcoming events (4+)
See all- Board Boat Class C requesting water assistants!Katherine Wasserman Davis Riverwalk Center, Sleepy Hollow, NY
Sailing class C is looking for board boaters to assist Class C with their first water day, over the course of the day. There are seven students this class. See note below. This is not an open sail! but it is a great way to get time on the water!
It is a class and you will help the new sailors to move equipment, rig, sail the course then put everything back at the end of the day.
This is a GREAT OPPORTUNITY to practice! You may also help out in the safety boat.
If you can only make one half of the day please let instructors Dave or Tracey know.
Please note:
Time change: water assistants are needed at 10:30am, not 9am. Students will be doing their swim test at 9:30am and will get to Kingsland at 10:30am.
