PUBLIC ACCESS
Details
It started with flickers.
Flickers from the half-static valley in your mind between dreams and childhood memories; simultaneously melting together and fizzling apart.
In the old house, sitting/laying alone in the peripheral silouette of a dark room, eyes stinging as you stare into the glow of the old blackbox television, watching strange and disturbing images flash across the grainy scanlines.
Scared by what you were witnessing, but unable to look away.
The programming of shows were varied in their horrific gratuities, indestinct and decontextualized by age, but the one thing you clearly recall from your visions was that they were all always preceded by the exact same title card:
T̴͖͝V̸͕̚ ̸̠̚Ó̵̢D̷͚̅Y̴͖̆S̷̻̓S̷̬̓É̵̤Ỳ̴ͅ
The flickers became brighter and clearer with each passing recollection, and with it your curiosity and the questions that refused to be ignored.
Your research on the internet found no record of the phenomenon, save for a single forum thread where a small handful of people were discussing similar half-remembered experiences.
After spending some time posting among this group, you all discover a revelation: every one of you lived in the same town in New Mexico in the 80s and early 90s.
Finally with a tangible lead, you all agree to travel back to your old town and work together to get to the bottom of what was behind those mysterous television broadcasts.
This is a One-Shot Scenario for Public Access, a horror mystery game inspired by nostalgia, creepypastas, and internet folklore; mechanically based on the Brindlewood Bay family of systems.
This game will be beginner-friendly, players only need to bring pencils and dice.
Character creation will be done at the table.
If all players are comfortable with it, some sections of the event may be played in the dark.
The event will be hosted in a rented private conference room, Players may bring their own food/beverage but are expected to be respectful of the space and clean up after themselves.
Feel free to sign-up even if it puts you on the Waitlist, in my expierence there's usually two or three people who drop-out before the start of the event, usually at the eleventh-hour, and I prefer to have a full table over empty slots.
