What we’re about
Second Half Rally is a group for experienced life veterans who like active recreation and sharing good times. We enjoy activities such as recreational hiking, kayaking, festivals, concerts, good eats & drinks, and exploring cool places. Our one simple goal is to have FUN!
We chose the name Second Half Rally because all of us share that life situation chronologically, even though we don’t feel like it. If you’re basically a kid who wants to go outside and play with friends, you should fit with our group.
"Put me in coach! I’m ready to play... TODAY!”
1. Our primary goal at every event is to HAVE FUN. Other groups tend to focus on biking, hiking, or kayaking led by serious aficionados. Too often, they never get around to having fun.
2. All members MUST post a clear personal photo showing their face so we can recognize each other at meetups to help build a comfortable sense of community.
3. Our group is friendly and welcoming, but we don’t tolerate whiners, jerks, dorks, or anyone else who spoils the fun for the rest of us. People who don't fit with the group are quickly removed from membership.
MEMBERSHIP IN SECOND HALF RALLY IS FREE! IF YOU DON'T LIKE SOMETHING, JUST REMEMBER YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR...
Upcoming events (1)
See all- Spa Creek Walkabout to Eastport & Return by Water TaxiMaryland Hall for the Creative Arts, Annapolis, MD
THIS EVENT IS MOVED TO SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 28th DUE TO RAIN. EVERYTHING ELSE REMAINS THE SAME.
This event will take us off the beaten track to experience a side of Annapolis most people never see. It's an easy walking tour around Spa Creek to Eastport that will open your eyes to the lifestyle which has made Annapolis a center of pleasant living for 300 years.
MEETUP AND PARKING
We'll meet in front of Maryland Hall which has free parking in the adjoining lots.
WALKABOUT ROUTE
Starting from Maryland Hall, our group will head towards Spa Creek and follow the shoreline to the 6th Street bridge which takes us over to Eastport. The streets generally end up at small waterfront parks, so there are many nice views along the way. The pace of life is peaceful, and it's hard to believe downtown Annapolis is just a few blocks away.
Eastport is a cool historic neighborhood with a variety of maritime businesses, restaurants, and charming streets situated between Spa Creek and Back Creek. We can stop for refreshments at Forward Brewing which is a cool beer garden restaurant on 4th Street before heading back.

Total walking distance should be around three miles depending on where we decide to go.
RETURN BY WATER TAXI
There is a convenient water taxi dock at the Chart House restaurant in Eastport where we can catch a return ride to our cars. The taxi goes all the way to Amos Garrett Park which is just two blocks from Maryland Hall where we started. It's not a long trip, but the water taxi is a fun way to get off our feet, relax, and enjoy the sights along Spa Creek with its many impressive yachts and homes.
The taxi fare to Amos Garrett Park is $7.00. Bring exact cash if you don't have the special app used by Watermark. Full details are available on the Annapolis water taxi website:
