We are bringing some of the exciting thrill from DefCon31 to our meetup this month. In collaboration with SecDim, we will be running the same attack and defense CTF that they hosted at DefCon (the world's top security conference in the US). A King of the Hill style challenge will be played. Build your app, attack others' apps, and earn scores. The winner is the player whose app survives the longest.

How will this work?
Bring a laptop, Linux/OSX/Linux VM, and an internet connection (see preparation instructions below). We will be competing to survive in a battle. You'll have limited time to address the security vulnerabilities in your code. Once you push your code, you'll enter the battle page where you can hack other players' apps. If you successfully hack a player's app, you need to extract the flag and submit it to earn points. The earlier you defend your app or hack another player's, the higher your ranking will be.

All skill levels are welcome. Even if this is your first time seeing code or doing a CTF, we will team you up and provide enough hints to get you rolling.
