Grief Yoga®
Details
Loss is part of the human experience. If you have lived long enough and loved from your heart, you have likely known grief. It does not only come with the death of someone we love. It can follow the loss of a relationship, a job, a dream, a season of life, or the version of ourselves we once were.
Grief is not something to cure or rush past. It needs expression. It needs witnessing. It needs space.
In this 90-minute gathering, we will come together in community to gently move what has been held inside. Through guided yoga, breath, sound, and intentional movement, we will create space for what is real and allow the body to participate in the healing process. This is not about performing or “doing yoga well.” It is about safely expressing and transforming what feels heavy into something that feels empowered and integrated.
This experience will be guided by Lulu Lopez Goodman, M.S., a seasoned yoga and movement educator (RYT-500) with advanced training in grief-informed practice. She is Grief Yoga® Certified and trained in Compassionate Bereavement Care through yoga. With a background in public health education and decades in wellness and functional movement, Lulu brings an evidence-informed, grounded approach to her teaching.
As a bereaved mother, Lulu approaches this work with lived compassion and authenticity. She creates steady, respectful spaces where women can move through loss, transition, and transformation with gentleness and self-trust.
You do not need to be in acute grief to attend. You do not need yoga experience. You simply need a willingness to show up as you are.
Come move. Come breathe. Come be witnessed.
