FUN BUNCH PICNIC! Early Celebration of 250 Years of Freedom ~ July 3rd/Friday

NOTE: The Independence Day picnic is being held on Friday, July 3 instead of the 4th of July for the only reservable picnic shelter/gazebo at Sycamore Flats in Pisgah National Forest was already reserved months ago. But I was able to reserve it for our group on the 3rd! Yay! We will simply celebrate one day early which has its pros ~ far less crowded!

THE SHELTER/GAZEBO: We will have 4 shelter tables, a grill, two restrooms with flush toilets, a dumpster, a large open field, and access to the Davidson River. There are also walking trails.
NOTE: Unfortunately, there is no portable water available. Please bring your own water.

DOGS: Dogs are allowed ~ must be on a leash.

GUESTS: You may bring up to 2 guests.

FOOD & DRINKS: Please bring your own lunch & drink, and a dish or snack to share with the group. And there’s the grill if you want to grill something ~ just bring your own grill supplies.
I’m bringing brownies to share with everyone. What are you bringing?

LAWN CHAIRS & MISC: If you wish bring your lawn chair or a blanket, sun screen, bug spray, etc.

DONATIONS: Any donations will be accepted since I paid $58 to reserve the shelter for us.

HOW TO FIND THE PICNIC: We will be at the one and only sheltered picnic table/gazebo in Sycamore Flats.
