About us
This is a group for paddlers who like winding rivers, plenty of wildlife and easy moonlight paddles on local lakes. There are also opportunities it get in the river to pick up debris, clear dead fall, remove invasive species and be part of stream team monitoring.

Meet The Owls
Calvary United Methodist Church, 15010 N. Holly Road, Holly, MI, US### Join us as we Meet The Owls to bring awareness of the wildlife present in our surroundings.
Three species of owls breed in southeast Michigan – Great Horned Owl, Eastern Screech Owl, and Barred Owl. Further, they don’t migrate, so they are here throughout the year.
5:00-5:45PM: Optional Potluck Dinner (Burgers, ham and lasagna provided)
6:00PM to 6:30PM: The Howell Nature Center will present 2 owls and possibly a Blanding”s turtle, which is formally listed as threatened or endangered in most US states where it resides, and it is protected in Canada, and explain their habitats, features and role in the ecosystem.
6:30 – 7:30 Q&A and a film: “OWLS – Masters of the Night“We also plan to share plans for owl boxes that you could mount in your rural property.
