Welcome the New Year with a walk through Bennett, Fort Tryon, Inwood Hill and Highbridge parks. About 7 miles and 4 hours, moderate pace.

See the highest natural point in Manhattan, the Cloisters, views of the Hudson and Harlem Rivers, and historical sites. The first half of the walk has some stairs and a few hills.

There is an easy drop-out point at the 4-mile mark (A and 1 trains) as we exit Inwood Hill Park.

MEET: Noon at the George Washington Bridge Bus Station, 3rd floor, where restrooms are located. Enter via elevator on Broadway between 178th & 179th streets or on Fort Washington Avenue between 178th & 179th streets. BRING: Water, lunch, snacks - lunch break in Inwood Hill Park.

ENDS: 155th Street and St. Nicholas Avenue by the C train.
