Join us for a hike on the Penosha Trail (5 miles) or the Kahchin trail (2 miles). Both hikes start together; you can decide when you arrive which one you want to do. Bring your Waterproof Boots, may be a slush fest..

Please arrive at 2:45 PM for sign in so we can start promptly at 3 PM.

From the east: from intersection of Bauer Rd & Bishop Lake Rd in Brighton - go west on Bishop Lake Rd for 1.2 miles. Turn left at Bishop Lake Complex sign then quick right after toll booth into trailhead parking lot.
From the west: from intersection of Bishop Lake Rd and Chilson Rd in Howell, go east on Bishop Lake Rd 1.4 miles, turn right at Bishop Lake Complex sign then quick right after toll booth into trailhead parking lot.

Join us for an exciting presentation on jellyfish by Dr, Cara Shillington, Professor of Biology at Eastern Michigan University. This talk will start with a background (evolution, ecology, behavior) on the different jellyfish groups. Then students from the Eastern Michigan University Jellyfish Research class will talk about their research projects with the local jellyfish. Their projects include night-time surveys and developing methods of detection with eDNA.
