Shoreline mini hike Feb. 1, 10:45am -12:45pm
Several projects are quite visible at the Palo Alto Baylands and around Shoreline Lake, which means it may look a bit different since you last walked there. The restoration of the salt ponds is especially exciting. There is still plenty of wildlife in the midst of this activity, including jack rabbits.

The hike starts at the Peninsula Conservation Center and avoids the parking problems on Terminal Blvd. We'll start along the Adobe Creek Loop Trail, then explore the Shoreline Lake area and the restoration project along the Bay. 2.5 - 3.0 miles, mostly flat.

Wear good footwear, bring water, and dress for the weather. Restrooms near boathouse.

Since this is an official Sierra Club event, plan to sign a waiver at the trailhead.

No need to RSVP - just show up on time. The more, the merrier. ๐Ÿ˜€

Directions: From Hwy 101 take the San Antonio Rd. exit and head toward the Bay. At the traffic light turn left onto E. Bayshore Rd. After 0.3 miles turn right onto Corporation Way. Turn left into the Peninsula Conservation Center parking lot. The address is 3921 E. Bayshore Rd., P.A.
Please note temporary parking restrictions: The Storm Drain Pump Stations and Systems Upgrade project has begun along E. Bayshore and is expected to continue until late June or early July. This work will affect access to the PCC parking lot and the availability of parking spaces.
- Driveway Access: The driveway on the Bayshore side will be closed. Everyone must enter and exit using the Corporation Way driveway.
- Parking: Overflow parking is not permitted in the lot adjacent to ours on Bayshore. Instead, overflow parking is available in the lot across Corporation Way, behind the building at 3941 East Bayshore Road.
- Traffic: For those arriving during work hours, please be aware that traffic in front of the building is restricted to one-way, and there may be delays when turning onto Corporation Way.
