Join us for a morning hike around Roosevelt Island in Washington, DC. We'll be stopping at sites of historic and natural history including the Theodore Roosevelt Memorial, wetlands, riparian areas, and upland forests. We will hike in (light) rain or shine. Meetup page will be updated with weather forecast and any last minute changes the night before.
The hike will be on December 12, 2025 and will start at 10:30 AM and end at 12 Noon. The hike is approximately two miles along established trails. This will be an easy hike and a fee of $2.00 is requested of participants.
The number of participants is limited to 25 people, all age groups are welcome as well as all skill levels, from beginner to advanced
Distance, pace, and surface: approximately two miles at an easy pace along natural trails.
What to bring: water and a snack, wear comfortable footwear or hiking boots. Note: photo taken this past summer so think winter.
