Cybersecurity is a central concern in so many aspects of society. Utilities, emergency systems, healthcare, tax. It's hard to pick ANY system of note that doesn't expose some measure of risk. Perhaps a less glamourous end of IT, we’re all very glad to have experts available when Le Merde connects with Le fan - as can happen in a very high profile (and so very damaging way). Security must be a core part of any system design from ground up.

Hosted by John Brady, Paul Brady, James Mcloughlin and Veronica Rogers will combine to deliver the usual format mix of presentations and panel discussion (incorporating Q&A to explore your own challenges) and as always – the opportunity to socialise and network!

John Brady is Cyber Security Manager in the HSE CISO Strategy and PMO Office, with responsibility for leading CISO reporting and supporting strategic initiatives. He is founder
of the North by Northwest Tech Meetup and serves as a CISO Forum Lead with Cyber Ireland, contributing to national engagement and knowledge sharing among senior cybersecurity leaders.

Paul Brady is a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) serving as part of the Enterprise Security and Resilience Office Team at Optum - leading a global team supporting several of
their business lines to prevent cyber threats and uphold security requirements. With 25 years’ experience (15+ in cybersecurity) he has had a broad exposure to enterprise level operations and projects in a variety of different sectors and industries. As a board member at Cyber Ireland Paul is actively involved in the cybersecurity community, always fostering new talent. He leads the recently launched Irish CISO Forum, a national chapter of ECSO’s European CISO Community.

James McLoughlin is an award winning cyber security expert from the NorthWest of Ireland. He is a graduate of Sligo RTC and Dublin City University. He has served organisations in almost every sector of industry and government here in Ireland and beyond. He is trusted by major national and international brands as an advisor, designer, builder, defender and problem solver for cyber security.

Veronica Rogers brought 15 years of industry experience (eight specialising in cybersecurity) when starting her current role as a lecturer in ATU Sligo. Having joined in 2019, she has built significant experience guiding new talent into the profession, delivering cybersecurity modules across multiple undergraduate programmes. Veronica is also a member of Cyber Ireland's Northwest Chapter.
