Welcome to the Southern York Social Group! If you want to make new friends all while exploring York and surrounding areas then this is the group for you. Events include breweries, wineries, dining out, happy hour, meeting for coffee, festivals, seeing a show, local tours, holiday events, perhaps an easy walk or a picnic. Connect with like-minded individuals who share your interests and enjoy socializing in a casual and friendly setting. Southern York Social Group has been set as a private group.
While there are many single individuals in the group, this is not a dating site/group.
MeetUp charges the group owner an annual fee of over $300 for having a group on their platform. This cost has been absorbed by the owner for the first year but will be reevaluated in October 2026.

Requirements for membership:
--Members are required to have a profile photo so that we can clearly identify you when you attend an event.
--It is expected that rsvp’s will be kept up to date by each member. This will allow those on waitlist an opportunity to attend.
--Up to 3 “no call, no shows” will be permitted, after which you will be removed from the group.
