Februrary DC314 Event

DC314 is a Saint Louis area cyber security meetup where anyone interested in technology can join and learn cybersecurity related skills, such as hacking, soldering, programming, and more Beginning the evening with a presentation and closing with a hands-on challenge, DC314 seeks to share knowledge and build connections across the hacker community. Come through and say hello! DCG meetings are open to anyone, regardless of their skill, age, job, gender, etc. DCGs are designed to help you learn new things, meet new people, mentor others in areas you may be strong in, and provide some cohesion within the hacker culture and it's members.

What does that means for those of us in the hacking community?
Let’s have a general conversation about where we’ve come from, what we’ve accomplished, and ultimately what’s next for “us”. (When we talk about “us” I’m thinking/referencing those of us whom continue to ask questions, challenge and don’t blindly follow, and occasionally poke the bear. This’ll be an open talk, think of it as insights, stories, Q&A, and presenting some research about what/when/where, AND how to look at the future of technology, humanity, and where we fit in, what help we can be, and how to address things in this ever complex, and changing world, especially as so SO many folks are being blinded by the promises of technology that is yet to still be understood.
This is about communication, collaboration, community, cooperation, and how (and where) opportunities exist to effect change.
Logic? Ours is the voice of reason and needs to remain neutral, independent, and be heard as we talk about risks, probabilities, and how we see the changes before us.

This weeks challenge will be on audio based data transmission.
