Stratford-upon-Avon In Town Meetup

The purpose of Stratford upon Avon In Town Meetup is to arrange events and activities that are not only fun in their own right, but also help promote friendship and widen your social circle.  It seems to us that the most important thing in life is the people we share our time with. 

We will endeavour to arrange a variety of events - from the unstructured, "let’s meet at the pub", to walks, crafts, shows and meals at a variety of venues. Whatever events interest you we hope you’ll find a friendly bunch of like-minded people and enjoy some fun times. We really hope we can help expand your circle of friendships. 

A few points to advise you of before you join: 
1. The majority of the group are more mature and as such events organised don’t tend to be geared towards the younger generation.
2.  We like to know who is coming along to our events and therefore ask you to use your real name and include a photo of yourself however if for personal reasons you prefer not to do this please introduce yourself to the event host when you arrive.
3.  We ask you to respect the privacy of our members.  Please do not send spam or unsolicited messages to other members or harass any member in any way.  Please use the Meetup messaging system to communicate with other members; do not give out personal email/phone numbers until you have established a good friendship/trust with someone.  
4.  We ask you to try to attend events that you have RSVPd for.  If you have to cancel attendance of an event, please give as much notice as possible, to allow any wait listed members to take your place. 
5.  Lastly, please be aware that Stratford-upon-Avon In Town Meetup is a social group to provide friendship and social activities.  It is not a dating agency, many of our members are single but many are not.    

A final word, you’ll often get a pop up asking you to pay for up grading your membership or giving you priority on wait lists.  These pop ups don’t come from us, they come from the organisation that owns the entire Meetup format.  There is usually small print on the pop up giving you the option to ‘continue with the free plan’, or you can just close the window with the X at the top.
