Ocean to Lake Trail 6 day Backpacking Adventure

Does backpacking six days and five nights unassisted, through areas of knee- deep water, carrying all your food, treating ground water to drink, for over 60 miles, sound like a fun adventure to you?
Most Importantly, do you have a positive & happy attitude? Able to adapt when things don’t always go as planned?

Then this could be the adventure for you!

60+ miles from NENA trailhead at Lake Okeechobee to Atlantic Ocean at Hobe Sound.

This event is for experienced backpackers only.
You must have all appropriate gear necessary.
There are no bail outs.

This backpacking adventure will require a car shuttle to get to the trailhead.
There will be a small fee to cover the costs of campsites and shuttle driver.

Once RSVPs are open, you will be on a waitlist. An in-depth questionnaire will be sent to the waitlist. We want to make sure this will be a successful and fun experience for all.
At that time full details will be distributed.

This is a joint event between Suncoast & Heartland Chapters of FTA.
