Sunshine Social Hike 12/7: Sweetwater Preserve 9AM 😁☀️

Let’s enjoy a dog-friendly social hike at beautiful Sweetwater Preserve! We will be hiking the Saguaro Vista, Lost Arrow, Spine and Wildflower Ridge Loop.

This will be an approximately 2.4 mile hike with around 209 feet of elevation gain and will take us about an hour and 15 minutes to complete. The trail is a little shorter than some of our other social hikes, with gorgeous views and a few rocky areas with slight incline.

We will be starting introductions at 9:00am. After intros, we will begin hiking and return to the parking lot just around 10:30am (having taken our customary group picture at the halfway point, of course 😁)

Please bring water and sunscreen, hiking poles may be useful in the rocky parts. This trail is completely exposed.

The weather forecast right now calls for 51 degrees at the start and 59 by the time we finish, a little chilly! I recommend layers.
This is a dog friendly trail! 🐶

Lots of parking at the renovated trailhead! Please be mindful of other hikers and bikers, this is a popular spot for many casual trails. Please make sure to put “Sweetwater Preserve” into your GPS, just Sweetwater takes you somewhere else.

Feel free to enjoy brunch after the later hike, I recommend Mojo Cuban Kitchen just fifteen minutes down the road! I may be bringing a few drinks and bites to offer both groups between hikes, no promises but let’s see what I can wrangle 😁
