Sunshine Social Hike 1/25: Honeybee Canyon 9AM ๐Ÿ˜โ˜€๏ธ๐Ÿ

Letโ€™s enjoy a scenic social hike with ruins and desert views at Honeybee Canyon! We will be hiking the Honeybee Canyon Southern Loop trail (with a few small additions).

This will be an approximately 2.5mile hike with around 200 feet of elevation gain and will take us about an hour and a half to complete. For a social hike, this is shorter with a little bit of rocky incline in parts.

We start in the the trailhead parking lot and make our way south east towards the ruins. After exploring the canyon for a bit, we loop back into the park and we will explore the southern loop before returning to the trailhead. We will not be hiking the wash towards the petroglyphs up north this time, (but feel free to add that yourself after the social hike if youโ€™d like).

We will be starting introductions at 9:00am. After intros, we will begin hiking and return to the parking lot just around 10:45am (having taken our customary group picture at the halfway point, of course ๐Ÿ˜)

Please bring water and sunscreen, hiking poles may be useful in the rocky parts. This trail is completely exposed.

The weather forecast right now calls for 51 degrees at the start and 57 by the time we finish, a bit chilly! I recommend layers.
This is a dog friendly trail ๐Ÿถ

Parking is free - please be careful that some gps takes you to the wrong spotโ€ฆ13880 n rancho vistoso or โ€œhoneybee canyon trailheadโ€ should get you there.

We will be taking pictures and posting them to our website and our group Facebook page. Thank you for your consent to post by joining our hike.

Way to keep being mindful with your RSVPs! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

Hope to see you out there ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Thanks,
