Self Trust: Becoming Your Own Best Friend
Details
Many of us lose the ability to trust ourselves.
We promise ourselves we will go to the gym, eat well, stop a habit, or follow through on something important… and then we don’t. Over time, these small moments can quietly erode our sense of self-trust.
At a deeper level, many of us carry a hidden belief that there is something fundamentally wrong with us. When mistakes happen, instead of seeing them as part of being human, we internalise shame and ask ourselves: “What is wrong with me?”
But what if the problem isn’t that we are flawed people — only that sometimes we make flawed choices?
In this workshop we will explore a healthier and more mature relationship with ourselves — one that allows for mistakes, responsibility, learning, and growth.
Because mistakes don’t have to lead to shame. They can lead to wisdom.
Together we’ll explore a powerful inner process:
Mistake → Responsibility → Self-Apology → Compassion → Curiosity → Wisdom → New Action
When we allow ourselves this compassionate cycle, we begin to transform our relationship with ourselves. Instead of shame and self-criticism, we cultivate understanding, forgiveness, and integrity.
We will also look at a simple but powerful practice for rebuilding self-trust: making and keeping small promises to ourselves. Small commitments, consistently honoured, gradually restore our sense of reliability and inner strength.
This workshop includes a guided meditation designed to help you reconnect with compassion, acceptance, and a deeper sense of trust in yourself.
Because perhaps the most important relationship you will ever have…
is the one you have with yourself.
If there were one message worth putting on a billboard, it might be this:
Cultivate unconditional love for yourself.
Not because it makes you lazy or complacent — but because love can be the most powerful motivator for growth, healing, and meaningful change.
Join us for an evening of reflection, insight, and meditation as we begin the journey of becoming our own most trusted ally.
