"Exploring Woolloomooloo": Murals, Artspace & Wharf
Details
NOTE: This event is posted on multiple Meetup groups.
ABOUT: Explore the rich creative scene in Woolloomooloo on Saturday, December 20. This event will introduce you to detailed murals created by activist artists Merilyn Fairskye and Michiel Dolk in 1982 to celebrate the suburb’s people and history.
Enjoy the exhibitions and outdoor art at Artspace—on diverse fascinating themes like AI, imperialism, the inner workings of the self, and mysticism. More outdoor fun later at the wharf—see sculptures installed by ARTPark Australia that facilitates travelling exhibitions across the country.
All welcome to this exciting, educational tour! Come along if art is especially new to you. Don’t forget to exchange numbers with group members and make new friends!
