Details
Endeavour/Cook Landing: Kamay Botany Bay National Park/Cape Solander/Cronulla - 15 KM
We commence our walk at the entrance to the Kamay Botany Bay National Park, at Kurnell. From here we visit the site of the landing of the HMS Endeavour, commanded by Captain James Cook on 28 April 1770, and other points of interest at this historic location.
Leaving Kurnell behind, we head south through the National Park, rounding Cape Solander and strike out along the newly improved Cape Baily Track. We will climb Cape Baily Lighthouse to enjoy the views. Pressing on through Cronulla View, we arrive at the beautiful lagoon of Boat Harbour, where we stop for lunch.
Back on track we walk along Cronulla Beach which provides a solid walking surface. We can take our socks and shoes off an enjoy walking in the surf. It's pretty good!
