For this month we did something a bit different, regular attendees had their names put into a bowl and drawn out. In the other bowl were multiple phrases and keywords for different film genres.

Once the person and their phrase were selected they were then given free reign to pick any film that reflected that theme. And so here are the choices......

It's personal, and Tracy will stop at nothing, until a beautiful woman 'Breathless Mahoney' (Madonna) enters his world....

Network (1976)
Chosen by Tom M
Phrase: The Mass Media Machine

Sidney Lumet's biting satire about the American TV landscape. An old veteran news anchor is told by the network he is going to be put out to pasture, and replaced. However in one of this last broadcasts he goes off script, denouncing the powers the be and claiming that he'll kill himself on-air. However his rant strikes a chord with the American people who similarly are "mad as hell and not gonna take it anymore"
