Purpose of the Group:
The purpose of this group is to bring people together for relaxed, enjoyable hikes — mostly on Saturday mornings — designed for those of us who work Monday through Friday. Hikes will be relatively easy and within about an hour’s drive of Tampa.
We’re excited to welcome Dominick and Tonya as event organizers. They may occasionally plan events during the week or further away, offering more flexibility and variety.

Anyone who enjoys hiking or the outdoors.

7am - Boggy Creek Trail & Balm-Boyette Scrub
Triple Creek Nature Preserve, 13305 Balm Boyette Road, Riverview, FL, USWe’re heading out to explore the Boggy Creek Trail & Balm-Boyette Scrub for a morning hike through one of Hillsborough County’s beautiful scrub preserves.
This is an easy, mostly flat loop with a mix of open scrub, pine flatwoods, and some shaded sections—great for spotting wildlife and enjoying a quieter side of the area. The trail is about 4.8 miles and typically takes around 1.5–2 hours at a comfortable pace.

Come into the park, turn left, when the road forks turn right. Drive past the tennis court and park towards the end of the parking lot prior to the next left turn. (Please see the event image and park near the arrow.)
Please arrive a few minutes early so we can start together at 6:00 PM.

🥾 Distance: Approx. 3–4 miles (loop or out-and-back, depending on group preference)

💵 Fee: $2. for a after work hike at the “Hole in the Fence” trailhead—one of the area’s best-kept secrets! This beautiful trail system winds through shaded forest, sandy stretches, and scenic wetlands. It’s a peaceful spot to get moving and reset before the weekend.Parking Info:
There is a designated parking lot at 12629 Morris Bridge Rd. A $2.00 day-use fee is required by Hillsborough County and can be paid by cash or card at the kiosk.
We’ll meet near the kiosk at 5:30pm and head out shortly after. Please bring water, sun protection, bug spray, and sturdy shoes for sandy and uneven terrain.
This hike will be a steady-paced walk with time to enjoy the surroundings and regroup as needed.3 attendees
