This months speakers:
Jonathan Bowe - Out with the Old, in with the Nu
If you're a fan of automation and scripting, you've likely written some Bash or Powershell. There's a nu kid on the block that learns from those classic languages and tries to provide a better alternative. We'll look at some of the features of Nushell, like types and structured data, some built in tools in the language, and rewriting a Bash script in Nushell. Get ready to learn something nu!
Grant Celley - Programmatically making 3d meshes with trimesh
In this talk, we will explore how to create and manipulate 3D geometry programmatically using Python, focusing on the powerful combination of NumPy and Trimesh. Rather than relying on traditional modeling tools, we'll generate custom meshes from mathematical definitions, construct complex shapes through code, and learn techniques for modeling. It will cover how Python can be used to create everything from simple primitives to entirely custom 3D assets.
