Edinburgh Photographic Society Tour and New Town
Details
We will have a tour of Edinburgh Photographic Society's facilities on Great King Street in Edinburgh's new town. Housed in a beautiful townhouse Edinburgh Photographic Society is one of the oldest in the UK and was instituted in 1861. The premises include a large meeting room/exhibition space, darkroom, library, boardroom/gallery and large studio space. After the tour and for those who are members of EPS and do not need a tour we will take photos in the nearby Royal Circus, Circus Lane and around some of the lovely independent shops in Stockbridge.
Bus: #24 and 29 buses stop nearby on Howe street and #9, 23 and 27 stop on Dundas street
We will meet up afterwards in the St Vincent Bar on St Vincent Street just around the corner from Great King Street and the Royal Circus at 2.30pm for a drink and nibbles.
