The Sweeps Hiking Group

Join Bea for a sunset walk on the lower trail of Lafayette Reservoir . The loop is 170 foot elevation and 3 miles.

Meeting spot for this event will be the restrooms on right hand side of parking lot which is a metered parking lot. Those who are interested we can have a picnic afterwards bring something to share.

We will hike at an average to slower pace (25-30 mins per mile) so we can enjoy the experience while we get the heart pumping. Please update your RSVP if you cannot attend, so as many people as possible can enjoy this hike.

Join Valerie for a scenic loop in Reinhardt Redwood Regional Park in Oakland, stopping for lunch at Redwood Bowl. Total of 5 miles and about 800 ft elevation gain. The hike will begin at the Richard Trudeau Training Center parking lot. Parking is free and there are restrooms near the parking area. Friendly dogs are welcome on leash.

All Sweeps hikes are organized and led by volunteers who love to freely share their hiking experience with others. Nevertheless, anyone wishing to make a small donation will help offset annual costs for the Sweeps organizers for the tools used to plan and organize the hikes that we all enjoy (Meetup fees are $180/yr, and the AllTrails Pro app costs $30/yr).
