The Thrive Tribe Social Squad is for WOMEN ONLY who are turning 45 or older in 2026. All are welcome to join, but please don't let us be a notch on your Meetup Belt! We would like members that are interested in establishing meaningful friendships. At this point in our lives, supportive female friendship is critical, and so is having fun. This social group is about forming true friendships through fun activities that will occur primarily in North County. You can expect a wide range of entertaining activities such as live local music, movies, trivia, theater, wine tasting, dinner, happy hour, dancing, workshops, comedy nights, etc. We are always open to your suggestions as well.

Annual membership dues are just $10 for an entire year - what a deal! Meetup now charges over $30 per month ($360 for the year!) for an organizer to create a group π². Your membership dues will be applied to these fees, plus any other expenses incurred on behalf of the group . YOUR FIRST EVENT IS FREE to see if The Thrive Tribe is a good fit for you. After your first event, please VENMO $10 to @Melanie-Zaner (preferred), or bring cash to your second event. Yearly dues will need to be renewed every 12 months.
This group is for women only; no men, non-members, or children. If you want to bring a friend to an event, that person must join The Thrive Tribe Meetup group before they can attend.

RSVP to events with INTEGRITY, which means do not respond "yes" unless and until you are very reasonably certain you can attend the event. Keep your RSVP up to date, and communicate with the event host.
β If you sign up but have to cancel, please edit your reply, preferably 24 hours in advance. Two no-shows total (meaning no communication about not showing up, either in RSVP, event comments, or a DM to the event host) to any type of event will be grounds for removing you from the group. Cancelling too many times close to the start time of an event is also grounds for removing you from the group. This causes problems for the event coordinator, the venue, and our relationship with the venue, which can affect our ability to hold events there in the future or secure a reservation. A lot goes into setting up the right activity, venue, reserved space, negotiated fees, deposits, supplies and more for every event, which is all based on your RSVP. We often have a waitlist with women who will miss out unnecessarily if you no-show. We would hate to lose you!

π€©π€ Come join us on Friday, January 30th at 5:30pm for live music and lots of fun at The Landings in Carlsbad. The Landings is a fun little gastropub with a huge patio, overlooking the runway at Carlsbad Palomar Airport.

βPlease note that there is no cover charge, but the Landings has a minimum purchase requirement of $30 per person. I was told they will be enforcing the minimum in order to help cover the high fees for the good bands they hire, and because there is very little turnover for the restaurant for over three hours during music events.
