Theology At the Bottleworks #250
Wednesday, February 18, 2026 (Third Wednesday of Month as Always!)
6:30 p.m. at Schlafly Bottleworks Crown Room

Anyone and everyone should join us for this month’s Theology at the Bottleworks as we tackle the timely topic: Revenge: a Dish Best Served Cold, or Not at All? Across cultures, revenge is often condemned as destructive or defended as necessary for justice, dignity, or deterrence. In an age of social media shaming, polarized politics, and global conflict, questions about retribution and forgiveness feel especially relevant. Is the desire for revenge something to be resisted, redirected, or respected? How does one know when revenge is complete? Does refusing revenge promote healing or enable wrongdoing? Where do justice, accountability, forgiveness, and mercy overlap, and where do they clash? Is revenge ever morally justified? What role does revenge play in individual and societal flourishing?

We’ll discuss all this and more, so come have a brew, give your view, and lend an ear to others’.
