About us
It's hard making friends as an adult...especially, when you're not drinking.
In today’s fast-paced, globalized world, the traditional social structures we once relied on—like tight-knit neighborhoods, villages, and even close family ties—have kind of faded away. Add in the constant moving around, the rise of social media, and the lingering effects of the pandemic, and it’s no wonder so many of us are feeling disconnected and lonely. That’s where The Zero Proof Social comes in. We’re here to help you rebuild those social skills, forge real connections, and create a life that feels full and meaningful—no substances required.
Mission Statement
The Zero Proof Social is both an organization and a movement dedicated to curing loneliness one day at a time. Through intentional, substance-free, and inclusive experiences, we create engaging opportunities for people to connect authentically. In a world that often feels disconnected, we empower individuals with the confidence and tools to navigate social experiences.
Vision Statement
We envision a world where everyone feels empowered to connect deeply, cultivate meaningful relationships, and thrive socially without reliance on substances. Our community is a judgment-free sanctuary where individuals can show up as they are, practice connection, and strengthen their social skills like a muscle—over time and with support. We believe that belonging is a practice, and we are here to guide, encourage, and celebrate every step of the journey. Together, we create a space where people can build confidence, find fulfillment, and rediscover the joy of authentic human connection.
Substance-free environment: All events and gatherings are free of alcohol and other substances. We believe that substances get in the way of deepening connections and maintaining a safe, inclusive space.
Core Values & Beliefs
🌍 COMMUNITY – Open your heart and connect with people. We prioritize meaningful interactions and relationships over casual or superficial connections.
🔍 CURIOSITY – We live in a very divided world, and our philosophy when getting to know one another is to focus more on what we have in common rather than our differences. When encountering different perspectives, we ask, “How did you come to believe that?” rather than shutting down the conversation.
🤝 MUTUAL RESPECT – We expect all members of our community to treat each other with dignity and value, recognizing and respecting each other's differences, beliefs, and perspectives. Active listening and open-minded engagement create a positive and inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and heard.
🧘 WELLNESS – We promote mental, emotional, and physical well-being through our events and activities. We believe that intentional socializing can improve overall wellness and that strong communities support individual well-being.
📈 GROWTH – We strive for continuous personal and communal development, fostering a space for learning and improvement. Whether it’s through friendships, conversations, or shared experiences, we believe in evolving together.
Our ideal member is someone who’s passionate about health and wellness, loves trying new things (think fitness classes, hiking, or karaoke), and has a quirky, growth-oriented mindset. They’re kind-hearted, empathetic, and always looking for ways to grow and connect. While most of our members are between 25 and 45, we’re an intergenerational community that welcomes everyone.
If you’re ready to take charge of your social well-being, this is the place for you! Did you know that social isolation can be as harmful to your health as smoking 15 cigarettes a day? Yikes! At The Zero Proof Social, we’re here to help you build genuine, substance-free connections and create a strong support network to navigate life’s ups and downs. But here’s the thing: the real magic happens when you show up, participate, and contribute. Connection is a two-way street—it’s about giving and receiving.
So, are you ready to commit to building meaningful relationships and creating a supportive community where everyone can thrive? Let’s do this together!

Speed Friending Walk
Mockingbird Station - Anjelika Film Center, 5321 E Mockingbird Ln, Dallas, TX, USJoin us for a refreshing and unique social experience on SMU's University Crossing Trail! Leave awkward introductions behind and embrace the outdoors as you make new connections with our Speed Friending Walk.
Walk and Talk
Embark on a stroll where you'll have the chance to chat and connect with new friends at every turn.Rotation Stations
We will stop at various points along the trail to pause, wrap up conversations and rotate to a new partner. You'll have plenty of opportunities to connect with fellow walkers.After-Party at JingHe
At the end of the walk, the fun doesn't have to end! Join us for an optional hangout at JingHe afterwards, where you can continue your conversations or connect with those you didn't get a chance to chat with on the walk. Spots are limited, so please click here to reserve your spot. Why are we walking and talking?
- Walking side by side creates a natural and comfortable environment for conversation. It eliminates the pressure of face-to-face interactions, making it easier to open up and share.
- Being outdoors and on the move introduces a subtle distraction, making pauses in conversation less noticeable. This can alleviate the pressure to fill every silence, allowing for more organic and relaxed interactions.
- Traditional sit-down settings can sometimes feel formal and interview-like. Walking creates a more laid-back atmosphere, promoting a casual and authentic exchange of thoughts and stories.
RSVP to secure your spot in this unique social adventure. Please wear comfortable shoes and dress appropriately for the weather.
Come for the walk, stay for the friends! We can't wait to see you there! Please be on Time
- We will be going over guidelines from 10:00AM-10:15AM and the walk will begin promptly at 10:15 AM. Please arrive on time so that you do not miss any important logistics.
Ground Rules
- This is a purely PLATONIC event. We’re not here to ask anyone out on dates. If at ANY POINT anyone makes you feel uncomfortable, please let me know and I will ask them to leave.
- Please be respectful and actively listen during conversations. I encourage you all to be open-minded and have a positive attitude toward meeting people from diverse backgrounds.
- Certain questions or comments are best avoided unless your conversation partner willingly shares such information. It's advisable to steer clear of remarks about someone's appearance and inquiries into their relationship status or orientation, as these are private matters. Additionally, it's wise to refrain from discussing topics like politics, religion, personal health, or another person's sobriety. Let's keep the conversation light for now, and we can delve into more intense subjects later. If you're unsure, feel free to use one of the provided conversation prompts.
Safety Reminders
- Please stay alert and be mindful of your surroundings while walking on the trail.
- Follow pedestrian rules, stay on designated paths, and be aware of any potential obstacles.
- Look both ways before crossing the trail or changing directions
- Keep to the right side of the trail
- “Stop” signs on the trail mean stop
- Check traffic before entering street crosswalks
- Cross major street intersections only when permitted by crossing lights
Privacy and Contact Details
- Privacy is crucial to this activity; please be respectful of each other's boundaries.
- Please recognize that exchanging contact details can sometimes be awkward. Feel free to share YOUR Instagram, phone number, or email if you'd like to stay in touch. However, avoid putting others on the spot by asking for their information directly. This way, everyone can choose the level of contact that feels comfortable for them. If you have physical business cards with your contact information you are welcome to hand them out to those individuals you connect with.
- Everything is totally optional and consent based. Some people might only be here to simply have a new experience and chat with people. Don’t be disappointed if there’s no follow-up. If you do get someone’s details, respect their time and space.
- Finally, please keep all conversations confidential. What's shared during the walk is personal, and unless explicitly agreed upon by both parties, it's important to keep those details private.
Parking and Meeting Point
- There is parking located at Mockingbird Station. We will be meeting on the trail by the SMU Mockingbird Dart Station. I'm looking forward to embarking on this Speed Friending Walk with all of you! If you have any last-minute questions or need assistance, feel free to reach out.

Spikeball + Friendship
Huffhines Park, 1500 Apollo Rd., Richardson, TX, USWe’re excited to host a Spikeball + Friendship Meetup led by one of our awesome community members. Come play, hang, and meet new people in a fun, low-pressure environment!
If you’ve ever wanted to try Spikeball (or already love it), this is your sign. It’s an easy-to-learn, high-energy game (think volleyball meets four-square) that naturally rotates players and sparks conversation. What to Expect:
- Casual, beginner-friendly Spikeball games
- Rotation-style play so you can meet different people
- Built-in breaks for chatting, spectating, and connecting
Nets & Capacity:
We currently have enough nets for about 12–16 players at a time. This means not everyone will be playing at once, and there may be wait times between games. Think of it as a mix of playing + socializing—plenty of opportunities to connect in between rounds. If you own a Spikeball net and can bring it, please comment or message us! More nets = more play time + less waiting. We’ll likely run this event tournament style to keep things organized and flowing.📅 Date: Saturday, June 6th
⏰ Time: 10 AM
📍 Location: Huffhines Park
🎒 Bring: Water, comfy clothes, sunscreen (and good vibes)👉 Please make sure to RSVP and complete the waiver before attending.
Looking forward to seeing you out there! 🌿19 attendees
