What we’re about
Hi Everyone! Are you based in or around Trier but German isn't your first language? Do you work in Luxembourg but live in Germany and find it too time consuming to go back into the Duchy to socialise? Would you like to meet more English speakers locally?
If so, this is the group for you - we can start with a meetup in a local bar and just see what ideas appeal to the group. I will definitely be encouraging people to organise events that are of interest to them. If you have something fun to share, just share it!
For open events, like drinks down at the pub etc. - just come along. But for events where there are seating restrictions - like restaurants, day trips, car sharing to an event etc. - you need to be in the WhatsApp group or at least contactable by phone by the event host. This is to prevent no-shows and help planning. Thanks for your understanding :-D

Symposium Libri Book Club: "Superagency" by Reid Hoffman & Greg Beato
Park Plaza Lounge, Nikolaus-Koch-Platz 1, Trier, DE☀️ Welcome to the 13th edition of Trier's Exclusive Non-fiction Book Club!
📚 For February, we're reading the book "Superagency: What Could Possibly Go Right with Our AI Future" by Reid Hoffman and Greg Beato. It's published in 2025, and it's 286 pages long.
✅ Check out the book here. You can also audio-read it on Audible or Spotify Premium (~8 hours).
🎉 We're meeting on the 1st of February (Sunday) at 14:00 at Park Plaza Hotel, ground floor, in the library area, on the right, after passing the reception.
🧩 This session will be prepared and run by Sean Cox who proposed the book.
💡You can join us even if you haven't finished the book. In this book club, we learn by hands-on activities and games!
Happy reading everyone! 🙏🏼
[Please note that the area of the library/café cannot be reserved, so just in case I'll book a back-up table in the area of the restaurant, also on the ground floor, under the name Marilena.]5 attendees
