St Joseph’s Monastery is at 2200 S Lewis Ave. Tour is walking of 90minutes. Wear comfortable shoes and clothes.

This one-time Tulsa Foundation for Architecture tour offers a rare opportunity to explore the monastery’s beautiful grounds and uncover the inspiring story behind this hidden piece of the city’s spiritual and architectural heritage.
Whether you’re an architecture aficionado or just curious about the beauty around you, this tour offers an engaging journey into design, history, and culture. You’ll leave with a sharper eye and a deeper appreciation for Tulsa’s architectural treasures!

CHECK-IN LOCATION: All guests and Docents enter through the North side courtyard into the living space.
PARKING: St. Joseph Monastery parking lot is located next to Lewis Ave. with overflow parking located at Monte Cassino through their gate.
ENVIRONMENT: This tour will take place indoors with a small portion of the tour going outside.
YOUR TICKET TIME: Please arrive 10 minutes early to get checked in. Please note that you will only be permitted to tour at the time you selected when purchasing your tickets. If you have questions about your ticket time, please email us a minimum of 24 hours in advance at info@tulsaarchitecture.com and we’ll be happy to provide assistance.
SUPPORT INFORMATION: TFA tours include 0.5-1.5 miles of walking (typically on streets/sidewalks, which sometimes include uneven terrain) in a variety of weather conditions. Please look ahead at the weather, plan to wear sturdy footwear, layers, and bring weather related items such as umbrellas, hats, gloves, fans, visors, sunscreen or other comfort items, as needed. You’ll be on foot for up to 1.5 hours.
Seating is limited or non-existent along many of our tour routes. If it will improve your experience, we encourage you to bring a lightweight stool, walking stick, or other assistive device!
Routes to avoid stairs are planned in advance for those who need an elevator or ramp. Our docents use a personal microphone to enhance hearing ability for all on the tour. You are welcome to move closer to the docent or request a volume adjustment at any time.
