Wintertime Birding at Ellis Woods Park
Details
Ellis Woods Park supports a great variety of birds - 167 species have been recorded to date - and has been developed by East Coventry Township with birders in mind. The "Birder's Loop" trail crosses multiple bird habitats and features interpretive signs for which VFAS provided the content.
Our field trip will cover up to 2 miles over mostly rolling terrain, but there will be some short, steep sections of trail to navigate. The uneven earthen trails will likely be muddy and slippery in spots, so good footwear is a must.
Bring binoculars if you have them. All experience levels are welcome, including those just beginning their birding journey. Please note there is no restroom on site.
