Meet at 10:00 a.m. at Camas Heritage Park, near the main parking area off NW Lake Rd. We’ll gather close to the trail entrance nearest the lake. Look for the group standing near the path, not deep into the park.

From there, we’ll walk the full Lacamas Heritage Trail, an out-and-back route of approximately 6.7 miles following Lacamas Lake and surrounding wetlands. The trail is mostly flat with a mix of paved and well-maintained paths, making it comfortable and steady throughout.

This walk will be at an easy to moderate, conversational pace. This is not a race. We’ll pause briefly as needed so people can regroup, take a short breather, or enjoy the scenery. The goal is steady movement, conversation, and time outside, not speed.

This area has deep local history, from early settlement and mill activity to its long role as a shared community space. This time of year brings quieter trails, winter light on the lake, and frequent views of waterfowl along the shoreline.

We’ll start walking at 10:00 a.m. and wait a few minutes at the beginning for late arrivals. If you’re running behind, feel free to message the group.

Dress for the weather and bring water. No food stop is planned after this walk.

Newcomers are always welcome.
