Trail Ready Certified Hiker: One-Day Training Session
Details
Welcome to the Trail Ready Certified Hiker: One-Day Training Session!
TRAIL READY PROGRAM
This is a structured, full-day field training designed to teach practical hiking safety, awareness, and readiness skills in one intensive session. It is built for new hikers, visiting hikers, and experienced hikers who want a solid refresher without the multi-week commitment.
This is a certification training day, not a casual hike.
Participants receive instruction and applied field practice based on the 10 Pillars of Hiking:
- Have the proper gear
- Know trail etiquette
- Don’t hike alone
- Hydration & nutrition
- Condition & pacing
- Teamwork
- Communication
- Leave No Trace
- Geographical awareness
- Situational awareness
Training includes safety fundamentals, gear readiness, awareness skills, field decision-making, and real trail application. Certification is issued upon successful participation and demonstrated engagement.
Cost: $25 per session (must be paid in advance)
