What we’re about
Driven by women, Wāhine Fuelled Tech provides a safe and supportive environment that empowers you to develop your technology skills, your career and your network.
All are welcome, you don't need to identify as female or be currently working in tech to participate. We expect all our members and attendees (including those attending events as members' guests) to be respectful of, and behave appropriately towards, all other participants.
We also have this Wāhine Fuelled Tech calendar, which gives an overview of all sorts of tech- and diversity-related events happening in Wellington. If you have anything to add to the calendar, please message the group organisers.
We are always looking for volunteers, speakers and topics - if you would like to present, host, sponsor or help organise any of our events or activities, please contact the organisers - we'd love to hear from you!

See all- An evening with FNZ WāhineFNZ House, Wellington
Aotearoa is home to some of the brightest wāhine in tech — driving innovation, building products, and leading change across the industry. At this special Wāhine Fuelled Tech event, we’re bringing together some of the incredible women at FNZ to share their journeys, challenges, and perspectives on what it means to build a career in tech.
In a panel-style fireside chat, we’ll hear from a panel across different areas of FNZ’s business, exploring how they got into tech, the pivotal moments that shaped their careers, and how they’re helping shape the future of financial technology in New Zealand and beyond.
Expect real talk, inspiration, and tangible takeaways — whether you’re just starting out, mid-career, or simply curious about life in tech.
