Weekend Hikers and Beyond, WeHike.org, is a volunteer-led group passionate about hiking in SLO County and the Central Coast of California. In spite of our name, we host day hikes on weekends and weekdays at varying skill levels.

Heya hikers, join us for an complete loop at a brisk pace around the scenic hills south of San Luis Obispo. Boots on the ground 4:30pm sharp.
Very little elevation gain and relatively short distance so we will be moving out of perky Pace with a few stops to catch the view!
*This will NOT be an easy stroll, we will be moving at a perky pace😃.Essentials

*ticks, poison oak and mosquitoes are a thing! Please be prepared.

Let's go kayaking or SUPing in Avila Beach, Saturday, September 13th. Paddles wet by 11am!
We will paddle through open ocean waters to the lighthouse Beach. If conditions are calm we can land and take the short walk up to the lighthouse or just turn around and head back. Intermediate skill level and above are welcome. The weather should be around 68° with 2ft to 4ft swells and only 3mph winds.
If you have your own equipment then we'll be dropping in at the public dock located behind Avila Paddle Sports. If not I cannot say for certain that they will still be open this late so I recommend getting reservations in advance from Avila Paddle Sports.
If renting please be sure your rental time is 2:30-2:45pm so that You're in the water on time!Paddles wet 10am sharp.

- Walking shoes while on shore
If you have your own equipment you must bring a PFD with you. It's the law.

- Dusk Equinox Hike at Miossi PreserveMiossi Open Space, San Luis Obispo, CA
Hello hikers! Join us for an evening hike to we mark the autumnal equinox with our quarterly sunset hike. Our route will follow a loop at the Panorama and Rollercoaster trails at Miossi Open Space Preserve and return after dusk. We should finish the hike after sunset, so bring a flashlight or headlamp.
🚘 Park at the south end of Old Stagecoach Road, not at the top of the grade.
🌧️ Rain or adverse trail conditions will cancel this hike.
🍔 Possible dinner afterwards, to be discussed at the hike.Essentials

Heya hikers, join us as we enjoy a casual coastal walk at Montaña de Oro State Park just before sunset. We plan to follow the bluffs trail — an easy gravel road — from Spooner’s Cove to the Point Buchon junction and back. Bring water, sun protection, and jacket.
Optionally, those who feel hungry or thirsty after the walk can join us for dinner at Beerwood, 690 Santa Maria Ave, Baywood-Los Osos, CA 93402.
Rain cancels this event, but we can always hope.
